THF Grant Presentation, TSHA, Austin
A presentation of the Texas Historical Foundation's Spring 2023 grant to the Texas State Historical Association in support of the publication of "Under the Double Eagle", a forthcoming book by historian and TSHA fellow Col. Thomas T. Smith providing an in-depth study of the role of citizen employees of the U.S. Army during the formative period in Texas history between 1846 and 1899.
The presentation will take place at TSHA's Austin offices, with Scholar Director Frank de la Teja presenting on behalf of the Texas Historical Foundation.
