Grant awarded for the Cowboy Camp, an annual youth program hosted by the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum each June. Campers are immersed in a 4-day, hands-on experience that teaches everything about the cowboy and the history of the great cattle drives with lessons developed from the Museum's award-winning collections and programs. The museum also won 3rd place at the 2024 Duda Preservation Award event in Dallas, recognizing its outstanding work in preserving historic architecture in and around the South Texas community of Cuero.
