How do I manage or renew my membership?
You can manage and renew your membership by logging in to your member account.

Why don't I see the Institutional Membership option?
Why don't I see the Institutional Membership option?
The Institutional Membership option is only available for Organization accounts. If you don't see it, it's usually because:
- You are not logged in to your member account, or
- You did not check the box for Organization / Business Account when completing the membership form.
To view the Institutional Membership option, log in to your account (or create a new one) and be sure to select Organization / Business Account on the membership form.

How long does a THF membership last?
Texas Historical Foundation memberships are valid for one year from the date you join or renew. Before your membership expires, we'll send you renewal reminders by email so you can continue supporting our mission without interruption. If your membership lapses, you may also receive a renewal notice by mail.

Can I give a gift in memory or honor of someone?
Yes! Memorial and honorary gifts are a meaningful way to celebrate a loved one or honor someone who is passionate about Texas history and historic preservation. When making your donation, simply indicate that your gift is in memory or in honor of someone and provide the name and mailing address of the person you would like us to notify. We'll send an acknowledgment letting them know a gift has been made in their honor or memory.

Absolutely! A Texas Historical Foundation membership is a meaningful gift for anyone who loves Texas history and historic preservation. Gift memberships help support the Foundation's work across the state while connecting your recipient to our mission through member communications and annual digital access to Authentic Texas. Once the gift membership is processed, we'll notify the recipient of your thoughtful gift.

Does Texas Historical Foundation accept company financial matches?
Many employers multiply donations made by their workers and THF will happily accept those. Please check with your human resources contacts to find out whether the company participates and how to apply.

Are THF memberships and donations tax deductible?
Yes. The Texas Historical Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Memberships and charitable contributions are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We recommend consulting your tax advisor if you have questions about the deductibility of your specific gift. A receipt will be provided for your records.
