Duda Forum on Historic Preservation and Sustainable Development

The second annual Duda Forum will be held this weekend focusing on historic preservation and sympathetic new construction in historic settings. San Antonio, one of the most historic cities in the United States, can serve as a model for cities everywhere seeking to balance historic preservation and necessary growth.

Featured presenters include Sara Bronin, Chair of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and David Trayte from the National Park Service, who will speak about preservation and design review from the Federal level. They will be joined by local officials and advocates as well as the sponsors and designers of projects in the San Antonio area that illustrate the variety of ways that new development may partner with architectural heritage to create more meaningful and sustainable places. The discussion will consider different strategies for adding new architecture to old while maintaining the historic character of a place.

Registration has closed for this event. Due to capacity issues, we are not able to take any day off registrations.
