According to the Texas Society of Architects, Preziosi has demonstrated an exceptional ability to spark conversation about the built environment in Texas through his countless articles, lectures, exhibits, videos, books, and other media work. They also said his writing masterfully weaves together rich and timely insights, making complex topics both relatable and intriguing.

Preziosi has penned over 25 articles for Columns – the magazine of the Dallas American Institute of Architects Chapter, authored papers for Legacies: a History Journal for Dallas and North Central Texas, provided articles for Texas Heritage magazine, and most recently has written for Authentic Texas magazine. He also produced exhibits on the Architectural Styles of Dallas and the Lost & Found series of articles in Columns. Preziosi says it is a great honor to receive the award and to be recognized for his work in promoting his passion - historic architecture. He hopes that his work informs people of the importance of our historic buildings and the need to preserve them for future generations as they hold the stories of the people and events that have helped shape who we are today.
