Dr. Michael Collins Luncheon

Join THF for a luncheon in honor of groundbreaking archeologist Dr. Michael Collins for his extraordinary work studying and preserving the Gault Archeological Site in Bell County.

12 p.m. Friday, October 28 at the Sheraton Georgetown Hotel

With the discovery of artifacts dating back some 20,000 years, Gault predates previous scientific estimates of human habitation in the New World by thousands of years. Doubted by many, Dr. Collins' dogged efforts took Gault from a place of careless looting to one of preservation of precious archeological treasures for generations to come, in the process reshaping the known history of human kind.

During lunch, guests will be treated to an excerpt from The Gault Film, a forthcoming documentary by Olive Talley telling the incredible story of his discoveries.

Purchase Tickets

$75

All tickets include lunch, screening of an excerpt from the forthcoming documentary The Gault Film, and a display of artifacts from the Gault site.
