THF Grant Presentation, Council of Texas Archeologists, Austin
A presentation will be hosted honoring Texas Historical Foundation's Spring 2023 grant to the Council of Texas Archeologists in support of their efforts to raise awareness of the need to preserve cultural heritage resources on private property, part of the group's Texas Private Lands Heritage Preservation Partnership program. With that aim, CTA has launched an outreach initiative that strategically target a series of conferences frequented by ranchers and land-owners with the intention of making property owners aware of the resources available to them and dispelling common misconceptions that can lead to the destruction of heritage sites.
The presentation will be held at UT Austin's TARL facilities, with Texas Historical Foundation Scholar Director Clark Wernecke presenting, and Eric Schroeder accepting on behalf of the Council.
