Crossroads Speaker Series: Architect Travis Broesche by Marty Merritt (Brenham)
This Fall and Winter, the Brenham Heritage Museum will be hosting the “Crossroads” Speaker Series, in conjunction with the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street (MoMs) Program, coming to Brenham this December.
Guest speakers will include professors and top educators in their field to discuss a range of insightful and historical topics that are sure to inspire!

November 12th: Michael Hurd: Author of Thursday Night Lights; Topic: The Story of Black High School Football in Texas
November 19th: Marty Merritt: Support Staff at Rice University, Board Member of Houston Mod. Topic: Architect Travis Broesche
December 3rd: Michelle Johnson: Project Manager of the William J. Hill Texas Artists and Artisans Archive. Topic: Material Culture of the Washington County Area and info about the Archive
December 17th: James Kearney, PhD: Professor at UT, specializing in Texan-German history. Topic: “The Affair of 1885”
January 7th: Walter Kamphoefner, PhD: Professor at A&M, Topic: Germans/Afro-German relations in Washington County
January 21st: Walter Buenger, PhD: Professor at UT, Topic: German experience in Washington County
