The Popular Memories of Local Luxury invites visitors to explore how this beloved store helped shape the cultural and social fabric of our community—from everyday memories to once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Organized by the UTEP Museum Studies Program and presented in the El Paso Museum of History’s Community Gallery, The Popular Memories of Local Luxury examines how this local landmark influenced daily life, family traditions, and the city’s evolving identity. Celebrate the lasting legacy of The Popular through personal stories, historic photographs, and rarely seen artifacts that capture the elegance, excitement, and connection of shopping downtown.
The exhibit will remain on view from April 24 - May 24, 2025.
