THF Grant Presentation: Flower Hill Center (Austin)
The Flower Hill Center received second place in the 2024 Duda Preservation Awards, recognizing their work at the Smoot Homestead. The property is home to the FHC and the site of significant moments in Austin's past, demonstrating the close ties of civics, politics, and the arts in the city's early days. Their award winnings were used to continue stabilization efforts at the main house, which will ultimately serve as a historic house museum.
