The project is to restore Wesley Chapel's historic facade which will help carry out Phase 2 of a multi-year plan to restore the church into a cultural center, community archive, and storytelling lab. Facade restoration builds on momentum from the stabilization repairs to the foundation and roof, completed in 2025, and preserves the architectural integrity and cultural significance of African American sacred sites in rural Texas.
