2026 Save Texas History Symposium (Austin)

The Save Texas History Symposium is an annual gathering that, since 2010, brings together historians, educators, students, and community leaders to explore Texas' past.
The 2026 theme, “A Lone Star Among Many: Texas and the Making of America,” highlights the dynamic relationship between Texas and the nation. Held November 13–14 at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, the event includes presentations from leading Texas scholars, a student research showcase featuring emerging scholars, and opportunities for public engagement to explore Texas history and its impact on the broader American story.
