Dallas Historical Society recognized THF director Sam Coats with the Jubilee History Maker award this month. The honor recognizes Coats' long commitment to the City of Dallas through his volunteer efforts with City Boards and Commissions, non-profits, and civic organizations. Coats, a former airline executive, began his public service as a Texas House Representative in his 20s. He then went on to hold positions on numerous public, private, and civic boards throughout his career, including the DFW International Airport Board, the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, the DFW Area Salvation Army, and the Boy Scouts of America's Circle Ten Council. THF is proud to have Sam on its Board of Directors, and we extend our warmest congratulations for his recognition.
