
The Texas Historical Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Malinda Veldman of Corsicana and Dean Hoover of Dallas to its Board of Directors. Both bring valuable expertise and a passion for preserving Texas heritage.
Veldman, a Mortgage Loan Originator with a background in real estate development and ranching, previously served as the City of Corsicana’s Main Street Director and Historic Preservation Officer. With her training in architecture and experience leading preservation efforts, she offers insight into protecting and revitalizing historic Texas communities.
Hoover is a practicing attorney whose career spans civil rights, corporate, and business law. A long-time advocate for architecture and historic building rehabilitation, he brings both legal expertise and personal commitment to advancing preservation initiatives across the state.
We are excited to welcome Malinda and Dean to the Foundation’s board. Their professional skills and dedication to Texas history will help strengthen our mission to preserve and promote the Lone Star State’s historic resources.
