THF grant presentation for the Dickey Museum & Multipurpose Center to take place Saturday, June 18 at 1:00 P. M. in Taylor, TX. The presentation will coincide with daylong annual Juneteenth Celebration at Fannie Robinson Park at 260 South Dolan Street in Taylor. Juneteenth activities are planned from 12-10 P. M. and will include live music, children's activities, a domino tournament, and more (see flier for more details)

The recent grant for $5,000 was awarded from the Michael C. Duda Historic Architectural Endowment to the Dickey Museum & Multipurpose Center to restore the windows at the historic home of local civil rights activist Dr. James Lee Dickey. The organization has been working for many years to convert the house for use as a community resource center and museum of African-American heritage. To date, the project has received $30,000 in THF funding.
