2025 Save Texas History Symposium, “Texas Takes Shape: Cartography and History in the Lone Star State”
This year’s symposium shares its theme with the GLO’s recently published book, Texas Takes Shape: A History in Maps from the General Land Office (UT Press, 2025).
On Friday, November 7, meet the next generation of Texas historians at our Student Research Showcase, featuring undergraduate and graduate students from seven different Texas universities. Learn more about the making of the book with its authors during an optional Friday evening reception.
Speakers on Saturday, November 8, will present on topics roughly aligned with the nine chapters of Texas Takes Shape.
